Our Covid-19 Response

Rukungiri Women Integrated Development Foundation has adopted strict Standard procedures that have been set by the Uganda Ministry of Health in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. As part of basic infection control, RWIDF also implements regular disinfection and cleaning of surfaces and equipment in the Office. The Organization Implements workplace cleaning twice daily before workers resume for the day and when they leave

RWIDF provides soaps and running water in several locations in the office, especially entry points, and has promoted frequent and thorough hand washing through project implementation. Also, RWIDF has provided alcohol-based hand sanitizers containing at least 60% alcohol, placed at strategic positions in the office. RWIDF also provides face masks for all workers and project beneficiarie

The Senior Management has continued to remind the workers about respiratory etiquette via instant messaging, group emails, or signages placed at strategic points in the office. The information includes the use of tissue to cover one’s mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing, with immediate disposal of the tissue in the nearest receptacle after use. Tissues and no-touch trash receptacles are available to ensure respiratory hygiene. Community training has been shifted to open spaces to ensure social distancing at all times. These strict measures have ensured the continuation of RWIDF activities with minimal risks involved.
